(B2) The Spanish team of "fire support" instructors from the European training mission of the Malian army (EUTM-Mali), usually based at the Koulikoro training camp, exceptionally traveled to Bamako in March .

Their mission: to train a group of non-commissioned officers and soldiers of the 33rd Para-Commandos Regiment in the use of the mortar. The training given by the team of “mortar” instructors marks the completion of a six-week course at the regiment's barracks, during which the essential subjects are mathematics, topography and the techniques necessary for calculating fire. The training was supplemented by practical sessions and marches on the camp.
