5 people arrested for war crimes in Kosovo

(BRUSSELS2) 5 people were arrested in Kosovo. They are " suspected of war crimes against the civilian population “, announced a press release from the European mission “Rule of law” (EULEX Kosovo). Heavy charges because they relate to the abuse and the conditions of imprisonment in a detention center of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA, paramilitary organization) located in the municipality of Skenderaj. One of those arrested is also accused of the murder of a civilian. This arrest took place jointly between the EULEX police forces and the Special Operations Unit of the Kosovo Police on a warrant provided by a judge of the Mitrovica court. The investigation is led by the European Special Prosecutor.
