The JSF: it's Ne for Clingendael!

(BRUSSELS2) The Clingendael Institute has just published a study on the vision of the armed forces for the future. A report that is part of a government reflection on "a vision of the armed forces for the future". The authors underline the existing discrepancy between the aspirations, the available budget and the structure of the armed forces, which obliges to make inevitable choices. Among these is the replacement of the F-16 combat aircraft and the choice of the JSF F-35. The Institute of International Relations comes out against this purchase. This will have a negative impact on other functions of the Air Force and other armed forces, such as the navy and the army, he points out.
