The JSF: it's Ne for Clingendael!

(BRUSSELS2) The Clingendael Institute has just published a study on the vision of the armed forces for the future. A report which is part of a government reflection on “a vision of the armed forces for the future”. The authors underline the existing gap between aspirations, the available budget and the structure of the armed forces, which forces inevitable choices to be made. Among these is the replacement of the F-16 fighter jet and the choice of the JSF F-35. The Institute of International Relations speaks out against this purchase. This will have a negative impact on other functions of the Air Force and other armed forces, such as the navy and the army, he emphasizes.
