Training of Seychelles forces by French sailors

(BRUSSELS2) Taking advantage of a stopover in the Seychelles, from 4 to 7 February, the Surcouf sailors carried out training actions as part of the strengthening of local maritime capacities. For three days, the French soldiers delivered to the special forces and the Seychellois coast guard various formations on board the French frigate. On the program: courses and practical work in combat first aid, close operational intervention techniques (TIOR or hand-to-hand combat) or even tactical progression in the premises of a building. Finally, when the frigate sailed, and in order to put into practice all their achievements, the Seychellois special forces led a full-force assault on the Surcouf from their boats. NB: This cooperation program is supervised by the staff of the European anti-piracy force Atalanta and takes place mainly during stopovers of its ships.
