The EUCAP Nestor mission is recruiting

(BRUSSELS2) The mission for maritime capacity building in the Indian Ocean and East Africa (EUCAP Nestor) has published a call for recruitment concerning just over twenty positions. The profiles recruited aim to ensure either the functions of advisers, experts or trainers in maritime, police or justice matters (magistrates), or mission support functions (human resources, IT, finance, etc.). The posts are generally located in Djibouti at the headquarters of the mission or in other places where the mission is deployed (Victoria in the Seychelles, or Nairobi in Kenya...). They are normally to be filled "as quickly as possible" (ASAP). Notice to amateurs. Djibouti is not unpleasant... But Victoria can be nicer 🙂

Certain functions are recruited in the form of secondment from Member States (civil servants, agents, contractors, etc.): IT Expert (Web developer), Mission Legal Adviser, Law Drafting Expert / Attorney General's Office (Seychelles), Head of Planning and Operations Department , Reporting Officer, Damage Control Expert (Engineering Chief Petty Officer), Police Expert CID Training, Personal advisor to Chief of Coast Guard, Personal advisor to Chief of Navy, Head of the Training Unit (MHQ), Training Coordinator (MHQ), Strategic Advisor Mogadishu Federal Authorities Court Administration Expert - Office of the Chief Justice (Seychelles), Maritime Situation Awareness – Navigation Expert

Others are recruited either on secondment or by contract: Chief of Procurement, Human Resources Officer, Financial Accounting Officer, Logistics Officer (Nairobi), CIS Officer (Database Administrator), Senior Mission Security Officer, Deputy Senior Mission Security Officer, Mission Security Officer, Information Security Officer, Document Manager - Registry/Archive, Financial Verifier, Financial and Administrative Expert (Nairobi).
