Two Mirage 2000s put on a 'show of force' in Birao (Central African Republic). Support to MINUSCA

(B2) A patrol of two Mirage 2000Ds from the fighter detachment took off from N'Djamena, Chad, to conduct a close air support mission on Thursday (February 13) above the town of Birao in Central African Republic (CAR). One " show of strength intended to support MINUSCA (the United Nations multidimensional integrated mission for stabilization in the Central African Republic), indicates the staff of the armed forces on Friday. The peacekeepers had observed gatherings of armed groups near the town. The objective of this passage at very low altitude, often impressive, was to dissuade them from launching an offensive.
