Export to Syria the UNIFIL model deployed in Lebanon

(BRUSSELS2) A plan to form a peacekeeping force of 3 men to be sent to Syria is reportedly being prepared by the UN. Lakhdar Brahimi, special envoy of the UN and the Arab League, is in the process of "testing", with discretion, the countries willing to contribute with their troops to the possible peace force, according to the British daily Daily Telegraph. The Algerian diplomat set aside the United States and Great Britain for their commitment in Iraq and Afghanistan, addressed the countries that are part of UNIFIL, the UN force engaged on the border between Israel and Lebanon , and largely made up of Europeans (Italy, France, Belgium, etc.). The latter would have the infrastructure and skills to set up a peacekeeping force in Syria.
