The six Burhan Noor pirates on trial in the Seychelles

(BRUSSELS2) The six pirates arrested by coalition forces near the Somali coast after 4 days of tracking along the Somali coast (read: Four days of tracking along the Somali coast) appeared on Friday (September 7) before a judge in Seychelles. Placed in pre-trial detention, they must appear on September 18 before the Supreme Court of this country. The six - aged 15 to 38 - are accused of having captured a dhow off the coast of Somalia, the Bourhan Noor, flying the flag of the Comoros, which was heading to the port of Sharjah (United Arab Emirates). They had been arrested, at the end of a pursuit race, which involved several ships of the coalition by the HLNMS Rotterdam (of the force Ocean Shield of NATO). The Dutch ship had transferred them on September 1 to the authorities in Port-Victoria.
