BND agents spotted Gaddafi's presence

(BRUSSELS2) This is the Spiegel who reveals it. For weeks, the Federal Intelligence Service (BND) “ knew exactly that former Libyan dictator Muammar al-Gaddafi was in his hometown of Sirte ". The BND which “ traditionally has a dense source of information in the Middle East knew where Gaddafi was hiding rebels”. " Security sources, however, said they had no location-based data to lead to a targeted attack on Gaddafi.". Information transmitted to NATO counterparts according to the German weekly. In a statement, the BND spokesman said on Saturday that " we did not know that Gaddafi had just stopped that day in Sirte”.

Nb: this confirms the information of the presence of intelligence agents not only British or French but also Italian and German on the ground.
