Failed attempt to free the 7 Danish hostages

(BRUSSELS2) The 4 adults and 3 Danish teenagers prisoners of the pirates who had been detained ashore since their capture, on the yacht SY Eng end of February, are today on a boat. This follows a release attempt by Puntland forces – assisted or not (the information is not confirmed) by private individuals – against the place where the Danes were detained, which took place on Thursday. The forces had located the hostages and their captors several days earlier near the town of Hul-anod. But the pirates brought reinforcements, about 200 men. And the soldiers fell into an ambush without succeeding in their mission. A bloody battle since a dozen dead were noted. The balance sheet remains confused: between 5 to 10 soldiers killed and several (3) pirates. The hostages are safe and sound.
