Earthquake in Haiti: European financial aid = €42,5 million
(BRUSSELS2) In addition to therescue help (planes, teams and equipment), the 27 EU countries released, overall, an amount of €42,85 million (according to a first count). Nb: this normally concerns public (national) aid without counting the contribution
local public and private mobilization (companies and citizens) which is superior.
In detail:
- European Union: first emergency aid of €3 million (as humanitarian aid paid to NGOs), more aid could be released soon.
