Employment aid: it will be July 2

(B2) The European Commission should present, on July 2, the last part of the reform initiated under Commissioner Monti for the reform of state aid. Under this system, national or regional aid of all types (subsidy, exemption, etc.) is considered to comply with European rules and does not require authorization from the European Commission.

By grouping aid for SMEs, development research, employment and training in a single package, the aim is to achieve better consistency between fairly disparate instruments. The definitions are now more precise, in particular for assistance to people with disabilities. And - according to the first versions - young people would no longer be - a priori - a category that could benefit from state aid.
