[Cinema] Bernadette

(B2) It is a fiction, but built on solid elements. For those who have been able to follow the president (Chirac) and his wife (Bernadette) a little, it is easy to imagine that this cinematic fiction is based on certain (solid) elements.

In addition to the romance necessary for the film, we indeed find a president's wife, discreet in the shadows, but very present, in the backyard, and if necessary in the spotlight. Firm towards Jacques, not hesitating to rebuke him sometimes or give him a look that said as much (I was able to verify this one day during a presidential trip to Berlin).

Catherine Deneuve portrays quite perfectly this slow rise to power of the First Lady, from her initiative of yellow coins to her reconciliation and the propulsion of Nicolas Sarkozy to take the reins of power.
