4 Yesidian women invited by Parliament, blocked by Belgium

(B2) The hearing organized in the European Parliament of four Yazidi women who were then to meet with the President of the European Parliament, Martin Schulz, could not take place. The Belgian authorities refused on March 24 to issue them a visa. A " shameful decision » denounces our colleague Christophe Lamfalussy of the Free Belgium which reveals the information. The women who had arrived in Istanbul, waiting for their visa, had to turn back. There was a risk that one of the women would stay in Belgium, the government defended itself (rather badly).
