Rajlovac (Bosnia and Herzegovina) - ammunition transport course

Ergneti (Georgia) - 48th Incident Prevention Mechanism Meeting

Stockholm (Sweden) - training of Palestinian prosecutors

Five Palestinian prosecutors have just completed a "study trip" in Stockholm, a training course financed by the European mission based in Ramallah, EUPOL COPPS. Objective: to have a good understanding of the system of cooperation in the Swedish public prosecutor's office, with other authorities involved in the investigation of economic crimes. During these three days, 5 prosecutors from the "economic crime" unit of the Attorney General's office received presentations from the Swedish prosecutor, the financial police, the authority to fight against economic crime and the tax authority . The Palestinian judges were also able to meet with a team of prosecutors specialized in intellectual property rights violations (counterfeiting and other piracy).

Koulikoro (Mali) - training of unit leaders

A training course for unit commanders organized by EUTM instructors started on 1er September 2014 in Koulikoro. Lasting eleven weeks, this course is intended to prepare future captains or commanders for the performance of their duties in all areas of action: exercise of command and pedagogy, tactics and fire control, intelligence, topography, communications, logistics, administration, not forgetting international humanitarian law. This training also emphasizes the leader's “savoir-être”: exemplarity, discipline, concern for subordinates and cohesion, sense of responsibility. The European trainers who supervise this course are assisted by a dozen Malian instructors, 8 of whom were trained during the last “Train The Trainers” session organized by EUTM for the benefit of Malian executives serving in military schools. Among the 18 trainees are the 6 future unit commanders of the 6e GTIA which will be trained by EUTM from the end of November 2014.

Zanzibar (Tanzania) - coast guard training

The trainers of the EUCAP Nestor mission have just finished training for criminal police and maritime police officers in Zanzibar on 17 September. A course including new techniques and scenarios such as defense techniques with bare hands. Mogadishu (Somalia) - first training in Mogadishu

The European mission EUCAP Nestor organized training for the Somali police in Mogadishu. This is the first time that EUCAP Nestor has been able to hold a training in the Somali capital. The workshop was centered around investigative techniques and rules of ethics. 35 people (9 policewomen and 26 policemen) participated in the training provided by European experts, those from the United Nations development agency and the training unit of the African AMISOM force.

Indian Ocean (Atalanta) - "friendly" approaches to the "Leopold I"

The Belgian frigate Leopold I, which is taking part in the European anti-piracy operation Eunavfor Atalanta, carried out its first "friendly" control operations (known as "friendly approach") on two Yemeni fishing vessels at the end of August. Members of the boarding party checked the 15 men, women and children on board these vessels. In one of the boats, there was no water on board. And one of the fishermen was injured in the leg.
