LogoEumm(BRUSSELS2) The European Observer Mission in Georgia (EUMM) has launched a wide call for recruitment. The personnel will be recruited in the form of secondment by the Member States or international contract.

Some positions offered:

Observer (47 posts / detached). The purpose is to monitor compliance by all parties with the end of hostilities agreements in Georgia, to observe, analyze and report on the stabilization of the situation (security, normalization, refugees, human rights 'Man…) Candidates must prove a diploma obtained after 3 years of study or an equivalent in the service of the police and the army. 3 years of experience in the police, military, political science or public administration or within an NGO is required. Knowledge of ballistics or criminal science is an asset.

Mission Security Manager (Seconded or contract / Georgia): Take care of the management of the security office of the mission, ensure the security of the staff deployed. Make recommendations and adopt appropriate measures. Candidates must have a university degree awarded after 3 years of full-time study or police/military equivalent, demonstrate more than 5 years' professional experience in the field of civil or military security (personnel security, facilities, property). Experience in the Caucasus is an advantage.

PIO Press and Information Officer (Seconded / Georgia). The role is to assist the various members of staff on matters of communication, information and the organization of interviews and other media events. The PIO must also create and promote campaigns, organize mission briefings with journalists, help coordinate media for high-level official visits. A university degree awarded after 3 years of study or police/military equivalent is required. 5 years experience in communication, press and media, management and organization of events. Have an interest and understanding of the political situation in Georgia and experience in international relations or international organizations. Knowledge of Russian is an asset.
