Syria uses nested bombs: Human Rights Watch

(B2) The NGO Human Rights Watch (HRW) accused the Syrian regime of using Soviet nesting bombs in the mountainous region near Hama. Two You Tube videos by a user believed to be a Syrian rebel show the remains of an RBK250 nested bomb and unexploded AO-1Sch submunitions. A local activist confirmed to HRW that the region supposedly where these images were shot, has been under continuous army bombardment for two weeks, following the withdrawal of rebel groups in this difficult topography. NB: A hundred States signed in 2010 a convention prohibiting the use or the manufacture of nested bombs. Neither Syria nor Russia are among the signatories.
