The cacaphony between NATO and the EU, sound illustration

(Informal meeting in Budapest) To get an illustration of the slight cacophony that reigned in Budapest between the NATO leader and his EU counterpart, Cathy Ashton, just look at the website of the Hungarian presidency, here, on the minutes of the meeting. You will see both press conferences simultaneously. The confusion is not intended on the Hungarian side. But this juxtaposition is symbolic of a meeting where the guest tries to get media coverage for himself...

NB: the place of choice, reserved for Rasmussen by the Hungarian presidency, is not entirely by chance, Hungary was chosen by the Atlantic Alliance to serve as a base for the three shared C-17s.
