The pilot of the presidential plane was well “under pressure”

(BRUSSELS2) “ I have to land otherwise they will kill me ". These words would be extracted from a conversation of the black boxes of the Tupolev 154, the presidential plane which transported the president Lech Kaczyński and other personalities of the Polish republic towards Katyn, shortly before the crash mid-April, close to Smolensk (1), according to the Polish news channel TVN24.

The journalists obtained, in an "unofficial" way, new extracts of the conversation which took place in the cockpit, from the black boxes. Even if they are "out of context" and the words sometimes seem difficult to distinguish, they would prove a lot of pressure on the pilot (2). "Of course there are always pressures when personalities wish to continue on their way" tempers a military air expert, Major Michał Fiszer, to TVN24. But "when a pilot has already made the decision to land, then anything that might happen has no more influence on him".
