EU aid to Haiti exceeds €1/2 billion

According to the Commission's accounts, the European financial response amounts to 609 million euros (EU budget and national budget), including 309 million euros in humanitarian aid (120 million from the EU budget, 189 million from the Member States) . 300 million euros are earmarked for reconstruction and rehabilitation.
