Return from Djibouti, for the relief of EUNAVFOR Atalanta

(B2) Loyal readers of this blog have seen it. After a few days of absence, the time of the trip, an upsurge of information on EUNAVFOR Atalanta. Logically, I was able to spend a few days there both with the men from the French base in Djibouti, from the logistics PC (FHQ Log) of the FHQ on board, and those from the frigates involved in the operation (French, Greek and Spanish). Not to mention the Japanese who were at the dock too. I was thus able to converse with several persons in charge of the operation: the two successive commanders of the operation (Greek and Spanish), the assistant to the operation commander CA Labonne and the various advisers of the OHQ, as well as Djibouti officials (navy, port, etc.).

I have already put some information on the site - from there: the resurgence of piracy, redeployment of resources to the Indian Ocean, need for air assets, migrant boat pirate sanctuary... Others will follow: interview with Rear-Admiral Labonne, intervention statistics!
