Suspects arrested by German frigate handed over to Kenya

(B2) The German Navy handed over to the Kenyan authorities in Mombasa the nine men suspected of piracy, arrested on March 3 in the Gulf of Aden.

The pirates were accompanied by German soldiers (MP) of the Bundeswehr and Kenyan police. The suspected pirates were placed in pre-trial detention in a port police building. The evidence was also handed over to the Kenyan police - skiffs and equipment. The Kenyan prosecution must therefore examine the issuance of an arrest warrant.
