Swiss commandos to the rescue in the Gulf of Aden?

(B2) This is a request from Swiss shipowners addressed to the Swiss authorities so that their ships (more than thirty) transiting the Gulf of Aden benefit from European protection. The federal government is said to have offered to embark Swiss military commandos on board merchant ships. If the European authorities consent to it. The case was revealed by German-speaking Swiss television. The Swiss army is studying the various possibilities. The DRA 10 commando - specialized in special interventions (including emergency evacuations) - could be operational. But it still needs the agreement of the federal assembly. If this agreement is reached, Switzerland could thus be one of the first third countries to join the EU NAVFOR Atalanta operation.
