Brief blog

It's break time...

(B2) Break time has come. And this blog will live in slow motion in the next few days. The French presidency of the EU ends with a positive assessment in terms of defense and security. And for once the expression “positive assessment” which usually flourishes in the mouths of politicians is not stolen. Until the last moment, agreements will have been negotiated. Witness the agreement on public defense contracts - ratified Friday at Coreper - between the European Parliament and the Council. Or today's publication of the review of the defense financial mechanism. Events are also jostling, such as the expulsion of OSCE observers from Georgia on January 1, the revival of tension in the Middle East, which casts some doubt on the "tranquility" of the coming days.
