Eulex sets up in Kosovo

(B2) Around fifty new judges and police officers have just arrived in Kosovo as part of the EULEX "Rule of Law" mission. They should be joined by nearly a hundred people a week, said a spokesman for the mission in Pristina. This should be fully operational in November-December. In addition, after the technical agreement signed with the United Nations (which allows vehicles and buildings to be taken back), Eulex signed a few days ago (September 10) an agreement with the local prosecutors and prosecutors which sets out the terms of cooperation. It is for the mixed teams of investigation and legal action to carry out the work in common. It is also for Eulex to be able to intervene, in a more important way in certain sensitive procedures (corruption...).
