“Justice” agreement between Belgrade and Pristina

(BRUSSELS2) The resumption of dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina led to a new agreement late in the night from Monday to Tuesday (10 February). The two prime ministers — the Serbian Aleksandar Vučić and Kosovo Isa Mustafa — thus signed in the premises of the European diplomatic service in Brussels, an agreement on justice and the judicial system in Kosovo, “ thus closing an essential chapter in the implementation of the Brussels agreement which will improve noticeably life of people in the field in the words of EU High Representative Federica Mogherini, who was leading the negotiations. The two prime ministers (also) confirmed their commitment to continue to make progress in normalizing relations between the two capitals. In particular, they agreed to work together to address current regional concerns, including “ the problem of illegal immigration from Kosovo ». Working groups will resume their activity in the coming days to “advance work on the implementation” of the various provisions.
