Humanitarian aid arrives in Bangui

(B2) The World Food Program (WFP) welcomed the cooperation which enabled a first convoy carrying assistance to reach the capital Bangui on Monday 27 January. Ten trucks carrying food - 250 tonnes of rice and maize - have arrived in Bangui, after a 600 kilometer journey from the Cameroonian border. The trucks were part of a convoy of 60 vehicles escorted by troops from the African-led International Support Mission for the Central African Republic (MISCA).
