[In brief] Yemeni fishing vessel hijacked by pirates

(B2) A Yemeni fishing boat, named Emarat 2, was diverted 13 km north of Eyl (Puntland), maritime authorities reported on Saturday (December 23). The 17 meter long dhow was last seen heading north along the Yemeni coast the day before (December 22). According to military authorities, the ship could be used for future piracy attacks. This attack by Somali pirates is in addition to numerous drone and missile attacks, as well as pseveral approaches suspicious » reported in recent days between Djibouti and Yemen, in the south of the Red Sea.
