The Lenaïc Fund is open. Apply… Support!
(B2) Lenaic was a journalist colleague, competent, smiling, with more than promising talent. Specializing in European issues, she was insightful and hard-working. Having worked first at Europolitique then at ViEUws (with the online magazine InsightTrade), she has become one of the best, if not "the" best specialist in European trade policy. Difficult field, because very technical, very complex, very political too, in which Lenaïc managed like a chef. His professionalism was recognized by all. She died of overwhelming cancer a year ago, in September 2015. She was 28 years old.
His parents, his friends have decided to honor his memory by creating a " Funds Lénaïc for journalism which offers a scholarship to two young female students who have recently graduated from an EU Member State and wish to start their career in the profession of European journalism. Tough career if ever there was one. But a very nice idea that "sticks" well to the image that I have kept of Lenaïc.
