The Adroit enters Atalanta

PatrolmanAdroit@Def1603(B2) The high seas patrol boat The right, and its 46 sailors, joined the EU anti-piracy operation in the Indian Ocean (EUNAVFOR Atalanta) at the end of March.

The building will patrol between the Horn of Africa and the Malagasy coasts, indicates the staff of the armies. The inter-monsoon period which has just begun is "favorable to the resumption of piracy activity" according to the sailors.

The means of Atalanta are, a little, reinforced, including 3 other ships — the German frigate FGS Bayern (F-217), the patrol ESPS Tornado (P 44) and the Italian frigate Euro ITS, of the Maestrale class (F-575) — as well as 2 planes — a Spanish Casa C-235 and a German P3 Orion.
