The EUPOL COPPS mission is recruiting 20 police/justice experts

EupolCopps logo(BRUSSELS2) The European mission in Palestine has published a call for recruitment for 20 specialists in the fields of police, justice or prisons. The staff sought will be seconded by the Member States.

Some positions offered:

Deputy Head of Mission (Palestine / seconded). The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, directing, coordinating and managing the activities of the mission and the personnel in the accomplishment of the tasks and the implementation of the mandate of the mission. Applicants should have a degree in political science, law or public administration or be a police graduate with a minimum of 10 years of experience in a senior position. they must have a good knowledge of issues relating to governance, the criminal system, human rights, etc. Experience in international organizations or crisis management is an asset.

Police Adviser (9 positions including 2 senior / seconded / Palestine). It has a role of advising and supervising the Palestinian Civil Police in the implementation of the reforms of the training centers of the police. He will also have to advise and supervise the trainers of the Palestinian police and monitor the quality of the training programs. Candidates must have degrees in law, public administration, police science. Five years of management experience in the police or the Ministry of the Interior and a solid experience in police training are required.

Experts in the field of justice (2 positions / seconded / Palestine). The purpose is to provide technical assistance and advice to the Palestinian Judicial Institute with regard to the development of its essential strategic and operational documentation and also in relation to day-to-day operations. Plan and organize the necessary training. Candidates must possess a law degree and have at least 10 years of experience as a prosecutor, judge or lawyer. Experience in judicial training institutes or legal advice is an asset.

NB: experts from the prison system and the prosecution are also wanted.
