We are recruiting for Libya

(BRUSSELS2) The European Union has just launched an initial call for recruitment for the future European border assistance mission in Libya. About fifteen agents are thus sought, exclusively by secondment of personnel from the Member States.

Citizenship of an EU Member State required, "EU confidential" or "secret" clearance required, as well as training in hostile terrain. Knowledge of the Maghreb, fluent spoken and written English are also required, and knowledge of Arabic is a plus.

Deadline to apply: March 8, 2013. Position requested: one month later, April 8, 2013. Duration of deployment: 12 months

The deputy head of mission as well as the political adviser (Polad) who will also act as press relations officer (PPIO) are thus recruited.

Several advisers will be recruited on several themes: "Rule of Law, Human Rights and Gender Adviser"; Integrated Border Management Strategic Advisor; Border Guard Adviser; Border Policing Adviser; Public Budget/Public Procurement Adviser.

Staff are also sought who will provide support for the mission: Senior Mission Security Officer, Head of Mission Support Department, Finance Officer, Procurement Officer, Human Resources Officer, Logistics Officer, CIS Officer...
