Five thoughts from European think tanks on European defense

(BRUSSELS2) “How can the Europeans remain credible with reduced defense capabilities? It is around this question that several researchers from European think tanks have debated. This project called "Think Global - Act European (TGAE)" mobilized no less than 16 European think tanks (*).

Five reports were thus published on February 12, each addressing an essential subject: the strategic priorities of the defense policy; the role of the CFSP in EU foreign policy; Europeans and the use of military force; maintaining capacity in times of budget cuts; the future of the European defense industry.

A final report presenting the key recommendations of the think-tanks should be published in March 2013 under the direction of Elvire Fabry, Researcher at Our Europe - Jacques Delors Institute.
