Norway to participate in EUCAP Operation Nestor

(BRUSSELS2, exclusive) Norway will contribute to the European Union civilian mission EUCAP NESTOR aimed at strengthening the maritime capabilities of countries in East Africa and the Indian Ocean.

An offer was made by the Nordic country, which responded to the European call for candidates. A police officer should thus work in Djibouti from mid-January in the field of capacity building.

In testimony to this contribution considered "as important", Norway should be exempted from financial contribution to the general budget of the mission, as confirmed by a decision of the PSC, which will be published shortly in the Official Journal.
