Life imprisonment sentence for 2 pirates in the United States

(BRUSSELS2) Two pirates charged in the capture of the yacht SY Quest were sentenced to life in prison by the federal court in Norfolk on Friday (December 16). Said Abdi Fooley and Abdi Jama Aqid pleaded guilty along with 11 of the suspects. 9 pirates had already been sentenced to life imprisonment. 3 others still face murder charges and face the death penalty. The 4 occupants of the yacht (all Americans) had been killed at the time of the assault by the Commandos Marines (SEAL), in circumstances that are not always clear; 4 kidnappers were also killed.
