Floods / Romania. The civil protection mechanism triggered

(B2) Facing severe flooding, Romania requested (July 2) the activation of the European Civil Protection Mechanism (MIC), requesting inflatable dams, pumps, electric generators, water purification systems water. 4 countries immediately made an offer: France (5 pumps, 8 generators, 1 water purification unit and a team of 30 people, Estonia (the EU-funded Baltic module "BaltFloodCombat High Capacity Pumping") , Belgium (11 pumps, 5 generators, 1 water purification unit and 6 people) and Austria (10 pumps operating with dirty water and 3 generators).The Austrian and Belgian teams have already left for the field and are operational by Monday evening.
