The 6 Torre Giulia pirates sent back to Puntland

(B2) The 6 pirates rescued by marine commandos and fishermen from the Franco-Italian tuna boat Torre Giulia finally arrived in Somali Puntland. They had first been directed to the Seychelles. But the authorities of the archipelago had considered that the evidence was not sufficient to judge them in the archipelago and had handed them over to the French authorities (read here).

In addition, a Puntland court has already sentenced, on Saturday, 22 of the pirates previously handed over by the Nivose to 6-year prison terms. 2 of them released, for lack of evidence.
