One of the pirates transferred to Spain already released

(B2) One of the pirates suspected of having committed the attack on the Basque tuna boat Alakrana, repatriated to Spain last week, was released by the judge. Santiago Pedraz, in fact, considered that there was no proof that he was over 18 years old. In doubt, he therefore ordered his release. Initial reports indicated that the person concerned was an adult. But he claimed the opposite. The various medical tests – carried out at the request of the Audienca nacional – although they established that he was over 17 years old, did not make it possible to establish with certainty that he was over 18 years old.
