A German ship seized in the face of the anti-piracy forces

(B2) Pirates are always so daring. Yesterday, Tuesday, under the nose and beard of European anti-piracy forces, they seized a German bulk carrier (flying the flag of Antigua), 120 nautical miles north of Bossasso (Somalia), according to Eunavfor HQ. Like the wolf following the flock of sheep, the pirates spotted and stormed a boat that was in the transit corridor (semi-secure virtual corridor in which the authorities recommend that merchant ships pass), not far from a transit group (protected framed by military boats) but outside of it. The assault only lasted a few minutes. By the time the frigate helicopter accompanying the transit group took off, it was too late. The pirates were on board... The ship carries rice and has a crew of 11 people.

Audacity is one of the most significant qualities of the pirates. Tuesday, they hijacked a German bulk carrier under the nose of the anti-piracy forces. The hijacked vessel was in the transit corridor, close to another group of vessels, protected by warships. The attack took just a few minutes. When the frigate's helicopter took off, it was too late. The pirates were on board. The merchant vessel, with a crew of 11 persons, was carrying rice.
