Eunavfor late for a war. That of information

(B2) It took almost 48 hours for EUNAVFOR HQ to decide to issue a press release on the arrest of pirates by one of its ships - the German frigate. And yet this information remained very fragmentary. The question of the fate of the pirates (subject to the national decision of Berlin) for example is not even mentioned, whereas it has already been made public by the Bundeswehr!

Other examples: it took almost 5 days to announce the official decision of the Norwegian government to join the operation. While all the media worthy of the name had announced it at least the next day (1), etc. As for the Swiss Federal Council's decision to send 30 men, it's quite simple, it wasn't even announced by anyone other than the Swiss!

It is also surprising that some important news - release of prisoners, for example, agreement with Kenya, etc. - are passed over in silence. There is not even a balance sheet or a list of the boats or the resources involved, etc.

One can legitimately ask what is the purpose of a communication officer? One can even ask the question: why such incompetence?
