The President of the PIS for a strong EU army and President!

" For this wish to come true, it should have a real force in international politics, a real military force. The EU should create an army at least comparable to that of the United States. This would mean that it would spend on defense at least 2,5% of GDP.”

A European President elected for 9 years, non-renewable, worthy of competing with the USA because he has the power of armed force

Who would decide on the command of this army, asks my colleague: “ The EU should create a command center with narrow but very strong competences. We should elect for a single mission, but very long (9 years approximately) the President of the EU, which would create a center of political direction. It should be independent of national centres. It should represent, at least initially, a European country of lesser importance. »

A superpower comparable to the United States

Who would this lucky winner be? The president of the PIS quotes “a Portuguese, a Swede or a Hungarian”. This president should not be automatically elected but chosen by consensus. »
