2 mafiosi arrested in Kosovo on EULEX investigation

(B2) Police officers from the “Rule of Law” mission (EULEX) deployed in Kosovo arrested two suspects for “organized crime” and “migrant trafficking” on Tuesday (April 17). An operation carried out in cooperation with the country's police. The investigation, supervised by a EULEX prosecutor, was carried out jointly by Europeans and Kosovars and led to searches in the Prizren district, in the south of the country. It was a EULEX judge at the Prizren Court who ordered these arrests. It is part of a broader framework of international investigation against a regional mafia. Sixteen other search operations were carried out by the police in Croatia and Slovenia, also resulting in several arrests.
