The Quezako, a new tool to know European policies

Le Quezako Logo RedGreen(B2) Halfway between the journalistic and encyclopaedic approach, the Quezako intends to revolutionize European information.

Using the best of the Internet — immediate availability, the possibility of updating and correction, as well as interactivity with its readers — it makes it possible to fill a gap today in what constitutes one of the most innovative policies, and risks, of the European Union: the common foreign and security policy. It was born from an observation: a certain ignorance of European foreign policy among certain political leaders, including at high level, including within the European Union...

A permanent collection

Le Quezako works as a permanent compendium, which can be read cover to cover, "picked up" on one or two particular topics, or served as a reminder on a particular point. European diplomacy, operations to maintain peace or strengthen the rule of law, the sanctions taken against other States, the means and capabilities of European defense... All these subjects will be addressed through sheets, as complete, concrete as possible, designed in an educational and explanatory way, to be able to be read and understood by everyone.

Educational and scientific

The objective is intended to be both educational and scientific, to make people known, to discover and to constitute a permanent encyclopedia, allowing everyone to be up to date. It is aimed at everyone — whether they are directly interested in this policy — students, researchers, professors, European Union officials, competition candidates, MPs — or simply curious. The ambition is to make known.

An uncompromising tone

The approach remains journalistic. It is not a question of hiding faults or certain failures. Faithful to what made the success of the "Bruxelles2" blog, our tone is uncompromising for certain mistakes or weaknesses, but it also refuses to sink into criticism for criticism's sake or into Euro-pessimism. Our ambition is also to highlight certain "successes" which are sometimes passed over in silence (for more information, the editorial slant of B2).

Update regularly

The edition is constantly enriched: with new sheets, additional information, new references, an update. New sheets and new chapters will gradually expand this tool to eventually constitute a collection of 100 to 200 sheets.

Access

Access is free (without limit) for B2 members and subscribers.
