An EIGS group leader killed by the French armed forces

(B2) The French General Staff of the Armed Forces announces that it killed Soumara Boura, a terrorist leader, belonging to the Islamic State group in the Greater Sahara (EIGS), Monday, December 20 in Niger, " in close coordination with the Nigerien authorities ". He was spotted near the town of Tillabéri in southwestern Niger (135 kilometers northwest of Niamey) before being shot down by a drone strike.
