Libya. The European "integrated approach" is being put in place
The EU maritime operation EUNAVFOR MED IRINI and the EU border assistance mission in Libya (EUBAM Libya) are organizing their cooperation a little more. This summer, Rear Admiral Fabio Agostini, Commander of Irini, and Natalina Cea, Head of Mission of EUBAM Libya, met in Rome, at EUNAVFOR Med IRINI HQ, to sign an agreement that poses black on white areas of cooperation. Djibouti. Neighborhood cooperation
Other forms of cooperation are those of the European maritime force responsible for combating maritime piracy off the coast of Somalia (EUNAVFOR Atalanta) with the forces present in Djibouti. The operation commander, Vice-Admiral José María Núñez Torrente, took advantage of the rotation of the force's headquarters in early August to tour the most important commands and military units present in Djibouti. Baghdad (Iraq). Meeting with the Iraqi FBI
The Iraqi Federal Intelligence and Investigation Agency (FIIA) and the European Union Internal Security Advisory Mission (EUAM Iraq) are already cooperating, for example in the recovery of stolen works of art and relations with INTERPOL. And it is a matter of continuing this cooperation, particularly in the fight against terrorism and organized crime. This was the challenge of a meeting in mid-August in the capital. Details here
Segou (Mali). Guided tour of the NCO school
The Malian army training mission (EUTM Mali) makes us relive the trip of the Force Commander, Brigadier General Jochen Deuer, to Ségou, headquarters of the country's third military region and the school of sub- officers of the Malian forces. Donetsk (Ukraine). Guided tour for six MEPs
MEPs (1) traveled to Ukraine on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the country's independence (24 August). An opportunity seized to discover the work of the advisory mission to the Ukrainian internal security forces (EUAM Ukraine). Among other visits, that of the maritime port of Mariupol, in the east of the country. Because the mission specifies that it " will soon strengthen its advice on integrated border management to law enforcement agencies operating in the port ". The deputies also discussed with the regional police commander the challenges related to the proximity of the contact line (smuggling and organized crime). Details here

Ramallah (Palestinian Territory). A campaign against cyber blackmail
Cybercrime expert with the Police and Rule of Law Support Mission for the Palestinian Territory (EUPOL COPPS), Alessandro Buono, has advised the Palestinian Civil Police (PCP) for the past two years on ways to combat the phenomenon of blackmail on the internet. The result is a cyber-blackmail awareness campaign, unveiled this summer. Details here
Garowe (Somalia). Prevent radicalization
Ten investigators from the Puntland State Police and five prosecutors from the Attorney General's Office participated in a two-day counter-radicalization awareness workshop held at EUCAP Somalia's local office in Garowe. The challenge is to support them in preventing and detecting radicalization as early as possible in their daily work. Details here

Niger. A Berliner at the head of the mission
At the head of the civilian mission of the European Union to support the internal security forces and the stabilization of Niger (EUCAP Sahel Niger) since January, the German Antje Pittelkau was entitled to his portrait, to read on the site of the Deutsche Welle (DW).
