Finnish member of EUCAP Somalia dies of Covid-19
(B2) A member of the EU Reinforcement Mission to the Somali Internal Security Forces died in hospital in Nairobi on 21 March. He had contracted the COVID-19 virus during his duties in Somalia, the EUCAP Somalia mission said in a statement issued on April 6.
He was a civilian crisis management expert seconded by the Crisis Management Center (CMC) Finland to EUCAP Somalia, as part of the security sector development support. His name has not been revealed for the sake of preserving family privacy.
