In a fine part

In fact, the elderly man 59 years old was caught in the act by Brussels police for taking part in a fine party in a private apartment above the gay bar (Le Detour), close to the central police station, near the Grand Place in Brussels. An 'orgy', according to the popular Belgian daily la DH which involved a good twenty people including a diplomat and other parliamentary employees apparently. The MEP tried to escape through a gutter, but fell and was caught by police. He then invoked his parliamentary immunity, provoking the involvement of the Belgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

In contravention of the strict rules in force in Brussels

This information reported to the headquarters of the European Parliament and to Budapest immediately led to the resignation of the person concerned. In itself, this participation would not be worth more than an administrative fine (for contravention of the rules of Covid-19). Coming from a warm supporter of moral orthodoxy, it is however worth its weight in peanuts. The best is in the resignation letter. The MEP stated: In the future, [...] I intend to continue the work started during the change of regime in a broader intellectual fielde. I will carry out my new tasks with the commitment and determination I have shown so far. »
