Yes April 1st is a fish
(B2) With our article, The Berlaymont transformed into a Role 3 field hospital, B2 did not fail in the tradition of April 1st. We hesitated. But we have maintained this outline. Despite everything, you have to keep the humor and carry it high and proud. This may seem like dark or inappropriate humor. But it is a tradition, in crisis management, emergency relief structures (which I practiced in earlier times), as in security or defense structures, to always keep, even in the worst circumstances , a bit of humor and self-irony. It's the survival instinct speaking.
Some have criticized this 'fish'. I would have preferred that they address their criticisms to those who sound the tocsin, but to those who do not respond to it or at least not enough. We would all have been enthusiastic if the President of the European Commission, or other European leaders, had sounded the hour of general mobilization (as this article might suggest). They had the means. Unfortunately this was not the case. History will judge...
As for the tent highlighted during this day, the experts will have recognized it: it is a tent of the Italian field hospital made available in the operation EUFOR Chad RCA of 2008. A tent which sheltered patients and wounded of all nationalities (including Chadians wounded in fighting with the rebels) because the sense of duty, these doctors and nurses deployed in the depths of Chad had it deep in the guts. Like today those who are fighting in hospitals, in ambulances, in health services, without the minimum means that they should have... This is the huge scandal and not our April Fool's joke . This tent and this fish were, for us, a vibrant and massive tribute to all those who are currently on the front lines of the disease and have left, unarmed, on the front lines to be massacred.
Other than that...I'm going to bed. Because the Covid-19 being what it is, I should already be in bed at this time, or even all day... (order from my doctor). Those who are going to live salute you very low!
