Trained by EUTM RCA instructors, the instructors of the Central African Armed Forces (FACA) will themselves train, for the first time, the 1000 young recruits who have started their basic operational training.

The Europeans of the EUTM RCA mission will thus accompany the FACA instructors in charge of giving the courses in the camps of Kassai and, for the first time, in that of Bouar, located 400 km west of the Central African capital. At the end of the four months of basic military training, the soldiers will join FACA operational units across the country.

Since its launch in July 2016, EUTM RCA has already educated and trained more than 4000 Central African soldiers. The train-the-trainer approach is at the heart of the European approach, with the aim of building the capacities necessary to build a modern and professional armed force in the CAR.
