In Munich the name of Donald Trump arouses a great white
(B2) In US Vice President Mike Pence's speech at the Munich Security Conference (MSC 2019), after the words "... the 45th President of the United States of America, President Donald Trump. it was expected applause.
At least, that's what the official text released by the White House transcribed.
The reality was slightly different. There was a big blank! The vice-president was reduced to continuing his speech after having paused for a few seconds to glean one or two muffled applause from the back of the room, which did not really succeed in unleashing enthusiasm...
The difference between theory and reality is worth seeing.

This, in a forum acquired by the strength of the transatlantic link, clearly reflects the gap which today separates Europe and the United States and the European malaise at the sight of Donald Trump's American policy.

NB: in passing, note that the one who slays fake news is the first issuer. Calling applause what comes out of a flop is 'false information'.
